A heartfelt welcome and thank you for agreeing to participate in this consultation.
This consultation aims to understand the specific conditions surrounding the Malala Fund’s Education Champions Network operations to support girls’ education in emergency contexts.
The main focus of the consultation is to reflect on your partnership with the ECN, since you first joined until today. A partnership in which both of you are growing and shaping direction.
So far, it has been quite a journey beyond anyone’s expectations. Throughout, you have brought your relentless commitment, knowledge, and drive to navigate multiple uncertainties and shifting priorities. With the world unexpectedly on pause, it is a good time to take a breather, look at the road travelled, and reflect on the best direction forward.
This online reflective diary is intended to give you intimate space to share your most important thoughts and impressions of the process, from your own unique experience and position - where you stand and what matters to you most. It gives you most freedom to say things unsaid or unheard, from the heart and to the heart. As if you are going on a walk with a good friend that you haven’t met in a while.
Your participation in the diary is fully consensual, confidential, and anonymous. No reference to your person or identity will communicated in any shape or form in any of the outputs of the study.
The diary contains 7 single independent entries with themes relating to your partnership with the ECN. It is designed for you to contemplate on each theme and complete it at your own time until the 22 th of May 2020. During this period, you will be able to reach the researchers at any time through email or Whatsapp for clarifications, questions, advice, or feedback.
Upon completion, you will have the chance to hold a debrief meeting with the researchers to discuss it in full privacy and anonymity. The meeting will be arranged at a time that suits you best, and can be as short of as long as you wish. The debrief meetings will be held between the 25th and 29th of May 2020.
